What sizes do your guest books come in?

We offer several sizes so you can choose the one that fits your guest count and your vision:

9" x 6" — Compact and easy to display, perfect for smaller celebrations.
10.5" x 8.25" — Our most popular size. A comfortable mid-size with plenty of room for longer messages.
12" x 12" — Our largest size, ideal for big weddings where you want plenty of signing space.

How many pages should I order?

Each guest book comes with 50 or 100 sheets. As a rule of thumb:

50 sheets (100 pages) works beautifully for weddings of around 75–100 guests, especially if guests are signing single lines.
100 sheets (200 pages) gives you breathing room for larger weddings, longer messages, or for using the book as a photo guest book alongside signatures.

When in doubt, size up. It's always better to have a few blank pages at the end than to run out of room.

What's the difference between blank, lined, and black pages?

The interior style changes the whole feel of the book:

Blank pages offer a clean, open canvas. They're ideal if you'd like guests to doodle, write freely, or if you're pairing the book with a polaroid/photo guest book setup.
Lined pages keep signatures neat and evenly spaced — perfect for formal or classic weddings.
Black pages make a striking, modern statement and pair beautifully with metallic or white pens for a dramatic effect.

Can the guest book match my wedding colors?

Can I personalize it with our names and wedding date?

Yes — every guest book is personalized with your names and your wedding date on the cover. And because we customize the full cover, you can also add a personal message or quote on the back cover, which makes for a beautiful surprise when guests turn it over or a meaningful touch for you to discover later.

Will I see a proof before my guest book is made?

Absolutely. We’ll send you a personalized design proof within 2 business days of receiving your order. You’ll be able to review your design and request any changes you’d like before approving it for production. Your book doesn’t go into production until you’ve approved your proof.

What foil colors are available?

Many of our guest books feature raised metallic foil, giving the design a genuine reflective shine with subtle dimension you can both see and feel.

What's the difference between foil and non-foil?

Our foil guest books use genuine raised metallic foil, giving the design a beautiful reflective finish with subtle dimension you can both see and feel.

Non-foil designs use elegant printed finishes instead — they're beautiful in their own right and a wonderful option for a more minimal or budget-friendly choice.

How long does it take to make and ship?

Because each guest book is handmade and made to order, we take the time to do it right. Your book is produced and shipped 7 to 9 business days (not including weekends) after you approve your design proof. For couples planning around a tight timeline, we recommend ordering as early as possible so there's plenty of cushion before the big day.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship worldwide from the United States. Couples around the globe have celebrated with Gilded Paper® guest books, and we're happy to get yours to you wherever your wedding may be.

Can the guest book be used as a Polaroid or Instax photo book?

Yes — and it's one of the questions we hear most often. We work with customers and even photo booth companies who use our guest books as Polaroid or Instax photo guest books, and they work beautifully for it.

Although our guest books were originally designed for sign-in messages, they absolutely can be used as a photo guest book. The one thing we recommend is using a low-profile adhesive (think flat photo corners or thin tape rather than bulky foam mounts) when affixing photos. This keeps the pages from fanning out too much and putting extra stress on the spine — so the book stays open more easily, closes neatly, and holds up beautifully over the years.

Can I use the guest book for something other than a wedding?

Of course. While we're best known for wedding guest books, our books are used for anniversaries, milestone birthdays, baby showers, retirement parties, memorial services, and more. If you have a special occasion in mind, we'd love to help customize a book for it.
